Description
Collaborating with Messer Construction, Nor-Com designed, built and integrated "top of the class" AV systems for the University of Kentucky's new $175 million Gatton Student Center. The facility provides an innovative space for students to study, collaborate, dine, recreate and build community. Nor-Com designed, built and installed:
- (45) Meeting rooms (various sizes)
- Mixed-use 575-seat cinema facility with 2 independent AV systems: Dolby-certified Atmos high performance theater system and AV presentation system. State-of-the-art performance and entertainment cinema that includes 404-inch screen with 4K resolution and 52 speakers throughout. UK is first university in Southeast and Midwest regions with this system.
- (3) Large multipurpose rooms with combined / breakout function; include (5) 289-inch screens with 4K 30,000 ansi lumen Christie Boxer Projectors on lifts
